The Beach Cottage is a very comfortable home set in it's own private gardens among the old and beautiful "Paper Bark" trees.
The furnishings are excellent with extensive tiling, opening to a large screened liveable veranda, featuring excellent out-door cooking facilities with a stainless steel BBQ and wok for those stir-fries and cooking the catch of the day.This fresh and comfortable home has three bedrooms, two queen size beds, one double bed and two sets of single bunks.There is a new fully equipped kitchen, new bathroom and 2 toilets.
The gardens and lawns are for your relaxation, and a fence assures you of your privacy and security for children. (in fact, this is the only fenced property in Eurong Beach) We also have a beach shower
in the gardens for your convenience. Living really is easy at The Beach Cottage with hassle free 240 volt power for lights and the 510 Litre fridge/freezer with gas hot water and stove. It's only a short walk to the beach and close to the Eurong Resort and shops, and a taxi is available.
Whilst other homes on Fraser Island still operate on 12volt lighting and gas fridges or limited 240volt power, at Fraser Island Hideaway you have the convenience of having someone attend to the generator, lights, water etc. plus the efficiency of 24 hr, 240 volt lighting, refrigeration and automatic washing machine.

Some of the latest in technology has been incorporated to provide the best accommodation available. We are on a remote island and conservation of resources is of great importance to us. We have solar panels and a generator to make our own electricity and pump our beautiful mineral water from the ground so whilst this new home looks like any other, it has to operate as energy efficiently as possible, which we are sure you will all appreciate and find very interesting as we try to fit into this beautiful environment.

Bring your own linen - Towels, sheets and pillowcases. You will also need your own beach towels.
Pillows, doonas & blankets provided. Linen can be hired if necessary
Please, NO sleeping bags for hygienic reasons.
Although there is 24hr power, a torch for each bedroom is handy to have.
Also beach chairs & umbrella to take to the lakes etc.
